Hello and welcome to OnePlate America! I am Cassi Davis and I am so happy you are visiting our site. I have always believed that young people are the most valuable members of society. Their thoughts and ideas help shape the future. OnePlate America gives young people nationwide a platform for the cultivation of ideas for personal development and valuable information for career advancement. Our students gain a greater appreciation for their uniqueness while participating in our workshops. With support and commitment from our team of educators and professionals, students are given the necessary tools to become effective leaders in their schools and communities. OnePlate America students are charged to create a vision and blueprint for success. Come join our conversation ~ We aim to make the world a better place one student at a time.
Cassi Davis hails from the booming metropolis of Holly Springs, Mississippi (MS), population 7,967. After graduating from Holly Springs High School in 1984, she moved to Atlanta, Georgia to attend Spelman College, majoring in music with a concentration in vocal performance. One credit short of graduation, Davis left Spelman to pursue an acting career. She later returned to Spelman in 2008 to complete her degree, graduating with a Bachelor of Arts in Music.
A play, film and television success, Davis has appeared in Spike Lee’s “School Daze,” “Tyler Perry’s Madea’s Family Reunion,” “Madea’s Big Happy Family” and “Aunt Bam’s Place.” Her television credits include: “Living Single,” “Married with Children,” Chicago Hope,” “Kenan & Kel,” “The PJs,” and “The Parkers.” In 2006, she landed a starring role in the breakout comedy hit, “Tyler Perry’s House of Payne,” playing the part of the family matriarch, Ella Payne. She most recently appeared in the box office smash hit, “Boo! A Madea Halloween.” Cassi finds joy in the accolades and accomplishments but she deems faith as the most important part of her life.
She believes in the power of knowledge and the importance of education in and out of the classroom. Cassi seeks a long lasting positive impact upon today’s youth through our OnePlate America platform.
